March 15, 2023 Survey Related to Use of Frequency Bands in Mobile Communications Systems

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will conduct a survey from today through Friday, March 31, 2023, to grasp operators' needs for the use of frequency bands in mobile communications systems.

1. Purpose and positioning

In light of increased needs regarding mobile communications systems, MIC has implemented a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the spread of fourth-generation (4G) and fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications systems.
This survey is a basic survey to grasp needs for the use of frequency bands in mobile communications systems, with a view to the further spread of such systems.
Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and responses will not limit the acceptance or content of future applications. Furthermore, responding to this survey will not guarantee acceptance of frequency band use.

From Wednesday, March 15 through Friday, March 31, 2023

4. Future schedule

In addition to collating and publishing the results of this survey, MIC will use it to inform the future development of institutional arrangements.
