June 16, 2023 Results of Solicitation for Opinions on the Second Draft Report on Information and Communications Policies with a View to 2030

The Information and Communications Policy Committee of the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo) compiled a draft of the Committee’s report entitled “Information and Communications Policies with a View to 2030” in response to Inquiry No. 26 dated September 30, 2021. MIC solicited opinions on the draft from Wednesday, May 3, 2023, through Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
As a result, 29 opinions were submitted, and both the submitted opinions and the Committee’s views are now available to the public.

3. Future plans

The issue will be discussed at the 48th General Meeting of the Information and Communications Council (chaired by ENDO Nobuhiro, Executive Advisor of NEC Corporation).

4. Obtaining materials

Attachments 1 and 2 can be inspected and obtained at the office of the Counselor of the Information and Communications Bureau, MIC, on the 11th floor of Building 2, Central Government Building. They will also be posted in the Public Comment section of the e-Government (e-Gov) portal (https://www.e-gov.go.jp).
