July 14, 2023 Results of Solicitation for Opinions on Broadcasting System Subcommittee’s Draft Report
Technical requirements for broadcasting systems

The Broadcasting System Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: ITAMI Makoto, Professor, Department of Applied Electronics, Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science) under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council solicited opinions from Saturday, May 13 through Monday, June 12, 2023, on a draft report of the Broadcasting System Subcommittee, which summarized technical requirements for broadcasting systems in response to Inquiry No. 2044, dated June 18, 2023.
As a result, 12 opinions were submitted, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to publicize the opinions submitted and the Committee’s views on these opinions.

3. Future plans

This matter will be discussed at the next meeting of the Information and Communications Technology Subcommittee (chaired by OIE Yuji, Professor Emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology) under the Information and Communications Council.
