July 28, 2023 Grant Decision for Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to grant subsidies for one applicant for the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives from the initial budget for fiscal 2023.
1. Project overview
This project partially subsidizes municipalities, third-sector corporations, and others to convert their cable TV networks to optical fiber networks to ensure reliable and stable information transmission during disasters and enhance disaster resistance in local communities.
MIC conducted public solicitation for this project from January 16 through February 3, 2023.
2. Adoption results
Based on the evaluation by outside experts, the following application was approved for a grant today.
