July 4, 2023 Public Solicitation for Proposals for Subsidies for Project to Support Radio System Dissemination (Project to Support Solution of Bad Reception of Commercial Radio)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to conduct public solicitation for subsidies for the Project to Support Radio System Dissemination (Project to Support Solution of Bad Reception of Commercial Radio), as described in the attached Public Solicitation Guidelines.

2. Project overview

1. Implementing entities

Prefectures, municipalities (including coordinating entities of multiple municipalities), specific terrestrial basic broadcasters (including coordinating entities of multiple specific terrestrial basic broadcasters), general incorporated associations, etc.

2. Project description

As per Article 3 (2) iv of the Subsidy Guidelines on Project to Support Radio System Dissemination (hereafter referred to as the “Subsidy Guidelines”).

3. How to submit proposals

1. Submission period of proposals

From Tuesday, July 4, and no later than noon on Tuesday, July 25, 2023

2. Application method

Applications can be submitted in one of the following ways after preparing materials in accordance with the Subsidy Grant Guidelines and the Public Solicitation Guidelines.
Bringing or mailing one copy and one set of electromagnetic record media to the Regional Bureau of Telecommunications (or the Okinawa Office of Telecommunications), whichever has jurisdiction over the applicant’s location.
Submitting the electronic data on the application documents to the Regional Bureau of Telecommunications or Okinawa Office of Telecommunications, whichever has jurisdiction over the applicant’s location, using email or a large-capacity file transfer system designated by MIC.
Submission through the grant application system (JGrants) (https://www.jgrants-portal.go.jp)
