The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions from Wednesday, June 28 through Monday, July 31, 2023, on a drafted ministerial ordinance for partial amendments to the Rules for Enforcement of Act on Identity Confirmation, etc. Performed by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers for Their Subscribers, etc. and Prevention of Wrongful Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services (MIC Ordinance No. 167 of 2005). 3. Promulgation and enforcement of the Ministerial Ordinance

Based on the results of the solicitation for opinions, the Ministerial Ordinance was promulgated today to partially amend the Rules for Enforcement of Act on Identity Confirmation, etc. Performed by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers for Their Subscribers, etc. and Prevention of Wrongful Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services. The ordinance will come into effect on April 1, 2024.
