August 29, 2023 Announcement of FY2022 Verification Report on Telecommunications Accidents and Accident Situations of Telecommunications Services (FY2022)

In accordance with the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) requires telecommunications carriers to report telecommunications accidents of a specific scale or larger. In addition, with the aim of contributing to the prevention of the recurrence of telecommunications accidents, MIC has been holding the Telecommunications Accident Verification Meeting Body since fiscal 2015, wherein third-party experts are asked to verify the circumstances.
MIC recently compiled a report on telecommunications accidents in fiscal 2022. Meanwhile, the Telecommunications Accident Verification Meeting Body has compiled the results of verifying the accidents into the “Fiscal 2022 Verification Report on Telecommunications Accident,” which is now available to the public.
