August 30, 2023 Result of Secondary Public Solicitation for Project to Promote the Use of Local Digital Infrastructure (Demonstration Project)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) now announces the selection of project proposals to be adopted based on the evaluation conducted by external experts during the second round of public solicitation for the Fiscal Year 2023 Project to Promote the Use of Local Digital Infrastructure (Demonstration Project).

1. Overview

MIC is extending comprehensive support through the Project to Promote the Use of Local Digital Infrastructure, aimed at such organizations as local governments implementing solutions for local challenges through digital technology in alignment with the vision of the Digital Garden City Nation.
As an integral component of this initiative, MIC invites proposals from local governments, corporations, and other organizations for social experimentation (demonstration projects) to implement innovative solutions that address regional challenges practically.

2. Results of the second round of public solicitation

A total of 32 proposals were submitted during the second round of public solicitation, held from June 21 to July 12, 2023. Following a thorough evaluation by a committee of external experts, six proposals have been chosen for adoption.
