Results of Solicitation for Opinions on Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee’s Draft Report Technical requirements for introducing broadband wireless LANs and technical requirements for the use of upgrading wireless LAN systems as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless communications systems

The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (headed by Chief Investigator MITSUGI Jin, professor, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University) under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council solicited opinions from Saturday, July 15 through Friday, August 18, 2023, on a draft report concerning technical requirements for introducing broadband wireless LANs and technical requirements for the use of upgrading wireless LAN systems as part of technical requirements for upgrading low-power wireless communications systems.
As a result, 16 opinions were submitted. These opinions, as well as the Subcommittee’s views on them, are now open to the public.

Draft Report of the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council

2. Future plans

With consideration of the results of the solicitation for opinions, this draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the Department on Information and Communications Technology (chaired by OIE Yuji, Professor Emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology) under the Information and Communications Council.
