September 29, 2023 Determination of Candidates for the Second Round of Public Solicitation for Proposals for FY2023 Smart City Promotion Project for Solving Community Issues

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted the second round of public solicitation for the fiscal 2023 Smart City Promotion Project for Solving Community Issues from Monday, August 7 through Monday, August 28, 2023. As a result, three proposals were submitted.
Based on evaluations by external experts, MIC has decided on three candidates for adoption.

1. Overview

MIC subsidizes a portion of the costs for the development and improvement of urban OS and urban OS-connected services incurred by public entities, including local governments. By utilizing digital technology and data, these local efforts aim to solve various community issues (e.g., disaster prevention, security/monitoring, and shopping support), ultimately leading to local revitalization. Therefore, MIC conducted the second round of public solicitation from Monday, August 7 through Monday, August 28, 2023, for the fiscal 2023 Smart City Promotion Project for Solving Community Issues, with the aim of solving regional issues through the implementation of smart cities.
