October 9, 2024 Announcement of Content of Notification concerning Utilization Business of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation

 Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (headed by President KITAMURA Ryota) recently submitted a notification concerning its business according to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984). Accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will announce the content of the notification to the public.

1. Overview

 According to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc., in cases where Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (hereafter referred to as "NTT West") intends to run any business specified in the same provision, it must in advance notify the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of the matters provided for in MIC’s ministerial ordinance.
 Accordingly, NTT West submitted the notification describing the respective matters listed in Article 2-4 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 23 of 1985) on October 1, 2024. Accordingly, MIC has decided to announce the content under Article 2-5 of the same ordinance.

2. Content of the business described in the notification
