Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications Committee Results of Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications Committee - Technical Requirements for X-band Coastal Surveillance Radars (hereinafter referred to as the “X-band Technical Requirements”) as part of Technical Requirements for Maritime Radio Communication Equipment (hereinafter referred to as the “Maritime Technical Requirements”) -

 The Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications Committee, chaired by OZEKI Shigeru, a technical advisor, and the Aviation Safety Radio Systems Association, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, solicited opinions on the X-band Technical Requirements. These requirements are part of the Maritime Technical Requirements (Telecommunications Technology Council Consultation No. 50, dated April 23, 1990). The solicitation period was from Wednesday, September 4, 2024, to Friday, October 4, 2024.
 As a result, two opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the MIC's position on them were made available.

2. Future plans

 Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of the Kyushu Institute of Technology, under the Information and Communications Council.
