IP Network Equipment Committee Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report from the IP Network Equipment Committee - Future Directions for Maintaining and Quickly Restoring Telecommunications Services in the Event of a Large-Scale Disaster (hereinafter referred to as the “Future Directions”) as part of Technical Requirements for Telecommunications Facilities Enabling Network Switchover to IP (hereinafter referred to as the “IP Technical Requirements”)

 The IP Network Equipment Committee, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, specially-appointed professor at the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council compiled a draft report on the Future Directions, as part of the IP Technical Requirements. The Committee solicited opinions from Wednesday, October 2, 2024 to Friday, November 1, 2024.
 As a result, six opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's position on them were made available.

2. Future plans

 The draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of the Kyushu Institute of Technology, under the Information and Communications Council.
