November 29, 2024 Results of the public consultation on the draft reports of the “Working Group on User Information” and the “Working Group on Countermeasures against Improper Use of ICT Services”

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held a public consultation on the two draft reports from Thursday, 10 October, to Friday, 8 November, 2024 (the draft reports of the “Working Group on User Information” and the “Working Group on Countermeasures against Improper Use of ICT Services”). Two reports were prepared by the "Study Group on Improving the Environment for ICT Services," chaired by SHISHIDO Jouji, a professor at the Graduate School of Law and Politics of the University of Tokyo. The Study Group discussed the further protection of user information and measures against improper use of ICT services, and produced the reports at its third meeting. 21 comments were collected, and as a result of the discussion, the two working group reports were published on Friday, 29 November.
