December 20, 2024 Holding of ICT Innovation Forum 2024

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will be hold the ICT Innovation Forum 2024 to leverage the results of research and development (R&D) of information and communications technologies and create innovation that paves the way for the future. The forum showcases the achievements of R&D projects completed in the previous fiscal year, as well as R&D trends.

1. Purpose

 The MIC is working on promoting R&D in the field of information and communications, which addresses social and economic needs and fosters innovation.
 At the ICT Innovation Forum 2024, various exhibitions and other activities will be performed to promote the utilization and social deployment of the achievements of MIC-promoted R&D on Information and Communications Technology R&D*1 and R&D related to the Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE)*2.

 *1 Information and Communications Technology R&D: Projects commissioned to private companies, universities, and other research institutions, with their theme preliminarily determined by the MIC
 *2 Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme(SCOPE): A Competitive fund for R&D in the ICT field, supporting highly innovative and novel R&D projects to drive innovation in the ICT field

 ・Time and date: Monday, February 3, 2025, 10:00-17:00 (with reception open at 9:30)
 ・Venue: UDX Gallery Next and UDX Theater, 4th floor of Akihabara UDX
    (Inside Akihabara UDX, 4-14-1 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)

3. Program
