December 27, 2024 Announcement of Quarterly Data on the Number of Telecommunications Service Contracts and Market Share (FY 2024 Q2 (End of September))

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has summarized the number of telecommunications service contracts and market share, as shown in the attachment, based on reports from telecommunications carriers in accordance with the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunication Business (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 46 of 1988). For the definition of terms, please refer to the reference.

 Detailed information regarding the number of contracts to each broadband service, broken down by prefecture, is available in the Information and Communications Statistics Database. Data on the number of contracts and market share at the end of each fiscal year is available in the Annual Report on Market Validation in the Telecommunications Business Field.
