December 5, 2024 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on Draft Amendments to the Guidelines for Implementation of Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act (hereinafter referred to as the "27-3 Guidelines") and Release of Amended Guidelines

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on draft amendments to the 27-3 Guidelines from Saturday, October 12, 2024, to Monday, November 11, 2024. As a result, 36 opinions were submitted. The MIC will publish the submitted opinions and the MIC's position on them, as well as the amended 27-3 Guidelines.

1. Results of the opinion solicitation

 The MIC formulated the 27-3 Guidelines to clarify specific approaches and examples for implementing Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984).
 This time, the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 25 of 1985) will be revised in line with the "2024 Report on the Verification of Competition Rules." To clarify specific approaches and examples for implementing the Telecommunications Business Act, the MIC decided to revise the 27-3 Guidelines. Opinions were solicited from Saturday, October 12, 2024, to Monday, November 11, 2024.

2. Revision of the 27-3 Guidelines

 Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the MIC revised the 27-3 Guidelines.
