February 13, 2024 Results of Solicitation for Opinions on Draft Report of Aviation and Maritime Radiocommunication Subcommittee Technical requirements for 9-GHz band solid-state radars for small vessels

The Aviation and Maritime Radio Communications Committee (headed by Chief Investigator OZEKI Shigeru, Advisor to Japan Radio Air Navigation Systems Association) under the Information and Communications Technology Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council solicited opinions from Monday, November 13 through Wednesday, December 13, 2023, on the technical requirements for 9-GHz band solid-state radars for small vessels as part of Inquiry No. 50 dated April 23, 1990 on the technical requirements for maritime radio communications equipment addressed to the Telecommunications Technology Council.
As a result, three opinions were submitted.

2. Future plans

The draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the Information and Communications Technology Subcommittee (chaired by OIE Yuji, Professor Emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology) under the Information and Communications Council based on the results of the solicitation for opinions.
