February 19, 2024 Determination of Subsidized Company (Executive Organization) for the Project on Digital Utilization Support under the Supplementary Budget for FY2023

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) announces that it has determined a subsidized company (executive organization) for the Project on Digital Utilization Support under the supplementary budget for fiscal 2023.

1. Purpose of the project

The Project on Digital Utilization Support aims to eliminate the digital divide and realize a society where everyone can benefit from digitalization. This is achieved by conducting workshops that offer advice and consultation on using smartphones for online administrative procedures, among other topics, thereby alleviating concerns among older people and others about utilizing digital technologies.

2. Subsidized company (executive organization)

A public solicitation for subsidized companies (executive organizations) was held from Monday, January 15 through Wednesday, January 31, 2024, and the following organization was selected as a result of the screening process.

3. Future plans

MIC plans to conduct a public solicitation for candidates for indirectly subsidized organizations (implementing entities) that will conduct workshops and other activities through the executive organization.
