February 6, 2024 Results of Solicitation for Opinions on Draft of First Report on the Ideal State of Telecommunications Policy in Response to Changes in the Market Environment

The Information and Communications Council’s Telecommunications Business Policy Committee (hereafter referred to as “Business Policy Committee,” chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) solicited opinions from Thursday, December 28, 2023, through Monday, January 22, 2024, on a draft of “First Report on the Ideal State of Telecommunications Policy in Response to Changes in the Market Environment.” As a result, 23 opinions were submitted.

Based on the results of the solicitation for opinions, the draft of the “First Report on the Ideal State of Telecommunications Policy in Response to Changes in the Market Environment” will be discussed at the general meeting of the Information and Communications Council scheduled to be held in February 2024.
