March 11, 2024 The 33rd Central Emergency Communications Council Awards

 The Central Emergency Communications Council (chaired by IMAGAWA Takuo, Director-General of the Telecommunication Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) will confer the 33rd Central Emergency Communications Council Awards on an organization and an individual for significant contributions to securing communications in times of disaster.

1. Overview

 The Central Emergency Communications Council confers awards on individuals and organizations having successfully implemented emergency communications or operated emergency communications councils, to ensure smooth emergency communications.
 This fiscal year, two recipients will be honored for their significant contributions to securing a system of emergency communications with awards.

2. Recipients

This year’s award recipients are:

  • Japan Amateur Radio League, Okinawa Prefecture Branch
  • AZUMAYA Tsutae (Kamaishi Radio Fishery Cooperative Association (Director of the Kamaishi Fishery Coast Bureau))

    The award recipients are selected from those who have been honored for their contributions to emergency communications, including contributions to disaster prevention measures each fiscal year and long-term contributions to the Council, via recommendations from Council members and a review by the Award Committee.
