March 1, 2024 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report of the New Generation Mobile Communications Systems Committee - Technical Requirements for New Generation Mobile Communication Systems Related to the 5th Generation Mobile Communication Systems in the 4.9 GHz Band

 Regarding the "technical requirements for new generation mobile communications systems" in the consultation no. 2038, dated October 12, 2016, that are related to those for the 5th generation mobile communications systems in the 4.9 GHz band, the New Generation Mobile Communications Systems Committee (chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, professor, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) of the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council complied a draft report and solicited opinions on the committee’s draft report from Wednesday, January 17, 2024, to Thursday, February 15, 2024.
　As a result, eight opinions were submitted.

2. Future plans

 Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council (chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology).
