March 22, 2024 Approval of Regional Telecommunications Services Using Telecommunications Facilities of Other Telecommunications Carriers of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation

 The Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications has today approved the application submitted by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (headed by President SHIBUTANI Naoki, hereafter referred to as "NTT East") and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (headed by President MORIBAYASHI Masaaki, hereafter referred to as "NTT West") for the regional telecommunications services using telecommunications facilities of other telecommunications carriers.

 Under the provisions of the proviso in Article 2, paragraph 5 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984), the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications has today approved the application submitted by NTT East and NTT West for the regional telecommunications services using telecommunications facilities of other telecommunications carriers. This approval is the first based on the same provisions.
