March 28, 2024 Information and Communications Council Telecommunications Business Policy Committee Results of Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report for “Calculation of Subsidies and Contributions under the Universal Service System for Broadband Services”

 The Telecommunications Business Policy Committee of the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by MORIOKA Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo) has compiled a draft report titled “Calculation of Subsidies and Contributions under the Universal Service System for Broadband Services” (Consultation No. 1236 dated July 7, 2023). Solicitation for opinions was conducted from Wednesday, February 7, 2024 to Monday, March 11, 2024.
 As a result, a total of 13 opinions were submitted.
