March 29, 2024 Approval of the Resolution Regarding the Demerger of Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd.

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has granted approval today for the resolution of a company split (absorption-type split) applied for by Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. (headed by MASUDA Hiroya, Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO) following the provisions of Article 11 of the Act on Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. (Act No. 98 of 2005).
 According to this resolution, Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd., will transfer its rights and obligations concerning management, development planning, operation and maintenance, design, and construction supervision of real estate to Japan Post Architecture and Engineering Co., Ltd. (Planned to be established on April 1, 2024), a subsidiary of Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd.

 MIC has given its approval today for the resolution of a company split applied for by Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. following the provisions of Article 11 of the Act on Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd.
