To solve regional issues using digital technology through the "Regional Digital Infrastructure Utilization Promotion Project (Supporting the Establishment of a Promotional System)," the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has selected regions that need support in building a regional DX promotional system along with their accompanying support providers.
1. Overview
The Japanese government has set up digital implementation goals for local governments in the "Comprehensive Strategy for the Vision for a Digital Garden City Nation (2023 Revision)." More specifically, the Japanese government aims for 1,500 local governments to undertake digital implementation by FY 2027 and all local governments by FY 2030.
To help achieve this governmental goal, MIC will select local governments wishing to solve regional issues using digital technology as well as accompanying service providers that will support them in utilizing digital technology. The accompanying service providers will support local governments in establishing and expanding their promotional system.
