April 26, 2024 Holding Achievement Presentation of R&D for the Expansion of Radio Wave Resources

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a meeting to present the results of the following: research & development (R&D) projects completed in fiscal 2023 under "R&D for the Expansion of Radio Wave Resources" and "Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE)" that contribute to the effective use of radio waves, and technology demonstrations by teams that advanced to the final competition of "KOSEN Wireless Tech Contest 2023 (WiCON2023) ".

1. Overview

 MIC is conducting "R&D for the Expansion of Radio Wave Resources" and "R&D Oriented for Social Development and Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Frequencies under Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE)" to alleviate the frequency crunch and effectively utilize radio waves to meet the growing needs for new radio wave applications.
 For five R&D projects under "R&D for the Expansion of Radio Wave Resources" as well as nine R&D projects under "R&D Oriented for Social Development and Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Frequencies under SCOPE" that completed in fiscal 2023, the results will be exhibited by displaying actual machines and panels, and the research and development staff will present the results. For technological demonstrations by teams that advanced to the final competition with recognition awards for "KOSEN Wireless Tech Contest 2023 (WiCON2023)", the results will be exhibited, and opinions will be exchanged on how to further utilize and deploy their research results.
