April 8, 2024 Result of Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications Subcommittee - "Technical Requirements for 90 GHz Band Foreign Object Debris Detection Radar System on Runways"
The Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications subcommittee (chaired by Shigeru OZEKI, Technical Advisor, Japan Radio Air Navigation Systems Association) of the Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council, solicited opinions on "Technical Requirements for 90 GHz Band Foreign Object Debris Detection Radar System on Runways." as part of "Technical Issues in Aeronautical Radio Communications"(Inquiry No. 10), dated April 23, 1985. The solicitation for opinions was conducted from Tuesday, February 20 to Thursday, March 21, 2024.
As a result, seven opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Subcommittee's view on these opinions are now made public.

2. Future plans
Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the Department on Information and Communications Technology, (chaired by OIE Yuji, Professor Emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology, under the Information and Communications Council).
