April 8, 2024 Result of Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Radio Utilization Environment Committee
- "Introducing Recommended Values for Absorbed Power Density and Other Parameters" in the "Ideal State of Radio Protection Guidelines" and the "Method for Measuring Absorbed Power Density within the Range of 6 to 10 GHz" in the "Method for Evaluating Power Density of Mobile Phone Terminals and Other Devices" -

 The Radio Utilization Environment Committee (chaired by Terumasa HIRATA, professor and director of the Research Center of Biomedical Physics and Information Technology, Nagoya Institute of Technology) under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, solicited opinions on the following themes: "Introducing Recommended Values for Absorbed Power Density and Other Parameters" in Consultation No. 2035, dated December 13, 2013, "Ideal State of Radio Protection Guidelines" and "Method for Measuring Absorbed Power Density within the Range of 6 to 10 GHz" in Consultation No. 2042, dated April 25, 2018, and "Method for Evaluating Power Density of Mobile Phone Terminals and Other Devices." The solicitation for opinions was conducted from Thursday, February 29, 2024, to Monday, April 1, 2024.
 As a result, seven opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the MIC's position on them will be made available.

2. Future plans

 Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee (chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of Kyushu Institute of Technology, of the Information and Communications Council).
