- Partial Report from the Information and Communications Council -
Today, MIC has received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council (chaired by Nobuhiro ENDO, special advisor to NEC Corporation) on "Technical Requirements for 90 GHz Band Foreign Object Debris Detection Radar System on Runways" as part of, "Technical Issues in Aeronautical Radio Communications" (Inquiry No. 10) , dated April 23, 1985.
1. Overview
Since October 2023, the Aeronautical and Maritime Radiocommunications Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council has been examining the "Technical Requirements for 90 GHz Band Foreign Object Debris Detection Radar System on Runways" as part of "Technical Issues in Aeronautical Radio Communications"(Inquiry No. 10), dated April 23, 1985. Today, the Information and Communications Council has issued a partial report on this matter.
2. Distribution of materials, etc.
The information will be made available for inspection and distribution at the Fixed and Satellite Mobile Communications Division, Radio Department, Telecommunications Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
3. Future plans
Based on this partial report, MIC plans to promptly revise the relevant regulations.
