April 9, 2024 Partial Report from the Information and Communications Council on the Ideal State of Radio Protection Guidelines and the Method for Evaluating Power Density of Mobile Phone Terminals and Other Devices
- Introducing Recommended Values for Absorbed Power Density and Other Parameters and the Method for Measuring Absorbed Power Density within the Range of 6 to 10 GHz -

 Today, MIC has received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council (chaired by Nobuhiro ENDO, special advisor to NEC Corporation) on "Introducing Recommended Values for Absorbed Power Density and Other Parameters" in Consultation No. 2035, dated December 13, 2013, "Ideal State of Radio Protection Guidelines " and "Method for Measuring Absorbed Power Density within the Range of 6 to 10 GHz" in Consultation No. 2042, dated April 25, 2018, "Method for Evaluating Power Density of Mobile Phone Terminals and Other Devices."

1. Overview

 The Radio Utilization Environment Committee of the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council has reviewed "Introduction of Recommended Values for Absorbed Power Density and Other Parameters" in Consultation No. 2035 " Ideal State of Radio Protection Guidelines ," dated December 13, 2013, and "Method for Measuring Absorbed Power Density within the Range of 6 to 10 GHz" in Consultation No. 2042 "Method for Evaluating Power Density of Mobile Phone Terminals and Other Devices," dated April 25, 2018. Today, the Radio Frequency Usage Environment Committee has received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council.

2. Distribution of materials, etc.

 The information will be made available for inspection and distribution at the Radio Environment Division, Radio Department, Telecommunications Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

3. Future plans

 Based on this partial report, MIC plans to revise the relevant systems.
