May 10, 2024 The Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Notice to Establish the Range, etc. of Available Frequencies for Specified Experimental Test Stations

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has solicited opinions to review the range, etc. of frequencies available for specified experimental test stations. The usable frequencies were publicly notified in accordance with the provisions of Article 7, item 5 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Radio Act (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 14, 1950). The solicitation for opinions was conducted from Tuesday, March 5 to Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

1. Background

 In accordance with the provisions of Article 7, item 5 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Radio Act, MIC is required to publicly announce the conditions, such as frequencies for specified experimental test stations along with the corresponding areas and periods of available. Since FY2004, MIC has been making annual public announcements regarding the range of frequencies available from July 1 of each year.
 MIC decided to review the range of frequencies for specified experimental test stations and solicited opinions on a draft notice specifying the range, etc. of frequencies available from Tuesday, March 5 to Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

2. Future plans

 Based on the results, MIC will promptly establish the notice.
