May 2, 2024 Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications MATSUMOTO Takeaki and Danish Minister for Digital Government and Gender Equality Marie BJERRE

 On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Mr. MATSUMOTO Takeaki, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, visited the Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality of The Kingdom of Denmark. During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan and the Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality of The Kingdom of Denmark, focusing on digital field. The Ministers also held a bilateral meeting.

 The MoC between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan and the Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality of The Kingdom of Denmark was signed on the following items:
 (1) Safe, secure, and trustworthy AI
 (2) Cybersecurity
 (3) Promotion of investment
 (4) Promoting Digital Transformation /Digitalisation by local governments

 At the bilateral meeting, based on the contents of the MoC, the ministers exchanged opinions on the digital field. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation further.
