 To deepen understanding of the importance of the safe and secure use of radio wave equipment among medical professionals and others, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will deliver the "Briefing Session on Safe and Secure Use of Radio Waves in Medical Institutions" on demand.
 This briefing session consists of three parts: basic knowledge of radio wave use essential for safe and secure use in medical institutions; trouble cases and countermeasures related to radio wave equipment; and topics on advanced radio wave use in medical settings. Participants may select topics according to their interests.

3. Description

 You are invited to select a topic of your interest from the following three options:

Topic 1: "Considering the use of radio waves during disasters and emergencies - Introducing checklist and operating medical telemetry" (about 60 minutes)

 Lecturer: MATSUZUKI Masaki, Chief Clinical Engineer, Department of Clinical Engineering, Mie University Hospital

Topic 2: "Current state and issues of wireless LAN in medical institutions" (about 70 minutes)

 Lecturer: HANADA Eisuke, Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering, Saga University
 Vice Chairman of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference Japan, responsible for promoting radio use in medical institutions

Topic 3: "Improving in-hospital communication system with IP radio" (about 50 minutes)

 Lecturer: AIJIMA Kazuto, Chief Technician, Department of Clinical Engineering, Yokohama Municipal Citizen's Hospital
