June 28, 2024 Announcement of Quarterly Data on the Number of Telecommunications Service Contracts and Market Share
(FY2023 Q4 (End of March))

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has summarized the number of telecommunications service contracts and market share, as shown in the attachment, based on reports from telecommunication carriers in accordance with the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunication Business (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 46 of 1988).

Detailed information regarding the number of subscriptions to each broadband service, broken down by prefecture, is available in the Information & Communications Statistics Database. Data on the number of subscriptions and market share at the end of each fiscal year is available in the Annual Report on Market Validation in the Telecommunications Business Field.
