July 19, 2024 Results of Public Solicitation for Proposals for Bio-Electromagnetic Environment Research and Evaluation Technology Research on Radio Wave Safety to be Conducted from FY 2024

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made a public appeal for proposals for bio-electromagnetic environment research and evaluation technology research on radio wave safety to be conducted from FY 2024. Based on the results of the external evaluation of the proposals, we have now adopted four of them.

The MIC has been conducting bio-electromagnetic environment research and evaluation technology research on radio wave safety to obtain knowledge on the biological effects of radio waves. Thereby, the MIC intends to eliminate public concerns about radio waves and build a society where radio waves can be used with peace of mind.
The MIC publicly solicited proposals on research themes for bio-electromagnetic environment research and evaluation technology research on radio wave safety to be conducted, from Tuesday, March 19, 2024, to Friday, May 10, 2024. We received five applications for four themes. We conducted an external evaluation of the proposals and are pleased to announce that the following proposals have been adopted based on the results.
The MIC will conclude a consignment contract after confirming that the proposals are implementable without any significant obstacles.
