Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report of the New-Generation Mobile Communications System Committee
- "Technical Requirements for New-Generation Mobile Communications Systems" Related to the Maritime Use of Local 5G-

 Regarding the "technical requirements for new-generation mobile communications systems" in Consultation No. 2038, dated October 12, 2016, that are related to the maritime use of local 5G, the New-Generation Mobile Communications System Committee (chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, professor, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council compiled a draft report and solicited opinions on the Committee's draft report from Wednesday, May 1, 2024 to Thursday, June 4, 2024.
 As a result, 68 opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's position on them will be made available.

2.Future plans

 Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee (chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of the Kyushu Institute of Technology) under the Information and Communications Council.
