July 22, 2024 Announcement of the Winners for the Nippon Startup Awards 2024

 ELEMENTS, Inc. won the MIC Minister’s Award (Information and Communications Startup Award) at the Nippon Startup Awards 2024. This award honors startups with social impact.

1. Overview

 The Nippon Startup Awards program recognizes entrepreneurs and startups for their creation of new businesses with socially positive impact may provide role models for people in the next generation. The purpose of this program is to raise public awareness of the importance of proactively taking on challenges and the social recognition of entrepreneurs, both for aspiring business founders and society at large, thereby encouraging entrepreneurship for people throughout society.  At the Nippon Startup Awards 2024, the MIC Minister’s Award (Information and Communications Startup Award) was newly established this year to recognize startups for their contribution to innovations and industrial developments in the information and communications field, in addition to the existing ones: the Prime Minister's Award, METI Minister’s Award, MAFF Minister’s Award, MEXT Minister’s Award, MHLW Minister’s Award, MLIT Minister’s Award.  We are pleased to announce that the winner of each award has been determined.

2. Results of examination

 Nominations for the Nippon Startup Awards had been solicited from Monday, January 15 to Friday, February 16, and we received 282 applications. The Nippon Startup Awards 2024 Judging Committee, (chaired by KAGAMI Shigeo, President of the Japan Academic Society for Ventures and Entrepreneurs and Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo) has selected the winner of each award after screening the applications.
