July 31, 2024 Results of Public Solicitation for Applications for the “Project to Reinforce Regional Information Transmission Capabilities through Broadcast Content” under the FY 2023 Supplementary Budget and the FY 2024 Budget
For this project, we have selected business operators based on the results of evaluations by external experts.
1. Outline of the project
This project will disseminate the appeal of various parts of Japan, including their nature, culture, local products, and agricultural products, through broadcast content, and strengthen the capabilities for information transmission to the foreign countries from these regions. This will increase interest in our country, increase demand for each region from overseas, and create a virtuous cycle of increasing inbound tourism and expanding overseas sales channels for regional products. The aim of this project is to promote the revitalization of regional economies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a public solicitation for applications for this project, from Monday, May 13, 2024 to Friday, June 14, 2024, through a subsidized entity (an executive organization).
2. The Result of evaluations
Based on the results of evaluations by external experts, 19 entities were selected as the entities to be adopted.
