The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) publicly solicited applications for the FY 2024 regional quota for the "Project to Support the Overseas Deployment of Safe and Reliable Digital Infrastructures" from Friday, May 31, 2024 to Friday, July 19, 2024. After examining the proposals submitted, 23 proposals were selected based on the evaluation results.
1. Overview
The MIC provides support for research and demonstration projects conducted by companies that use digital technology to address global social issues, as well as those involved in the overseas deployment of critical systems and services that enhance economic security. In particular, it is quite meaningful for Japanese regional companies to engage in the overseas deployment of their digital technology. This not only contributes to solving social issues and building a safe and reliable digital space in the destination country but also helps revitalize local economies in Japan.
With the aim of promoting the overseas development of digital technology by regional companies, the MIC publicly solicited applications for the regional quota, continuously from FY 2023. The regional quota is intended to survey the overseas development of regional companies with specific characteristics or with superior technology, including the ability to identify issues. We have adopted the following projects.
2. Results of the adoption
After examining the proposals submitted, 23 projects were selected based on the evaluation results.
