Radio Regulatory Council Announcement of the Evaluation Results of FY2023 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (Targeting Various Radio Systems that use Frequency Bands Above 714 MHz) and the Results of Solicitation for Opinions

 The Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by SASASE Iwao, Professor Emeritus of Keio University) announces the evaluation results of FY2023 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting various radio systems that use frequency bands above 714 MHz).

1. Overview

 Based on the provisions of Article 26-3 of the Radio Act (No. 131 of 1950) , when receiving a report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) on the results of a survey on actual radio spectrum usage, the Radio Regulatory Council evaluates the degree of effective utilization of the radio spectrum, reports the results to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and makes them public.
 The Radio Regulatory Council solicited opinions on the "draft evaluation results of FY2023 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting various radio systems that use frequency bands above 714 MHz)" from Thursday, June 6, 2024 to Friday, July 5, 2024, and received five opinions.
 After deliberations based on the submitted opinions, the Council has today reported the Evaluation Results of FY2023 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting various radio systems that use frequency bands above 714 MHz) to the Minister for MIC and announced them.
