August 1, 2024 "Regional Digital Infrastructure Utilization Promotion Project" - Selection Results of the Secondary Public Solicitation for "Subsidy Projects"

 We are pleased to announce that, based on evaluations conducted by outside experts, we have selected five proposals submitted in response to the secondary public solicitation for the FY 2024 Regional Digital Infrastructure Utilization Promotion Project (Subsidy Project).

1. Overview

 The MIC provides comprehensive support to local governments and other organizations in addressing regional issues through the use of digital technology under the "Regional Digital Infrastructure Utilization Promotion Project." This project is part of the broader effort to realize the "Vision for a Digital Garden City Nation."
 The Project consists of "planning support," "demonstration projects," and "subsidy projects." The "subsidy projects" provide subsidies to cover the development costs of telecommunications infrastructure and other necessary expenses to address regional issues.

2. Results of the secondary public solicitation

 We conducted the secondary public solicitation from Thursday, May 23, 2024 to Wednesday, June 26, 2024, and received a total of six proposals.
 Based on the results of the evaluation by an evaluation committee composed of outside experts, we selected the following five projects:

3 Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture Expansion of the common regional digital infrastructure to all districts during both normal times and disasters, along with efforts to create new towns and solve regional issues through digital transformation (DX)
4 Chukai Cable Television System Operator Strengthening disaster resilience through the installation of regional BWA base stations and live cameras
5 EHIME CATV, Inc. Work style reform through digital transformation (DX) by leveraging regionally closed networks and public-private partnerships to address labor shortages

3. Future plans

 After receiving the grant application documents submitted by the selected organizations, we will verify that they meet our conditions and proceed with the necessary procedures.
