January 20, 2025 Approval of the Grant Amount, Provision Method, Contribution Amount, and Collection Method based on the Act on the Organization for Postal Savings, Postal Life Insurance and Post Office Network (hereinafter referred to as the "Act")

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received an application from the Organization for Postal Savings, Postal Life Insurance and Post Office Network, chaired by SHIROYAMA Akihiko (hereinafter referred to as the "Organization") regarding the approval of the grant amount, provision method, contribution amount, and collection method, based on the Act (Act No. 101 of 2005). The MIC then consulted the matter with the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, professor emeritus of the University of Tokyo. The MIC has received a report from the Council stating that approval should be granted as consulted.
 Based on this report, the MIC has granted approval for the application as of today.

 On Monday, November 18, 2024, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications received an application from the Organization requesting the approval of the grant amount and contribution amount for 2025, based on the Act.
 The provisions of laws and regulations require the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications to consult with the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council before granting these approvals. Therefore, the Minister consulted the Council today.
 In response to the Council’s report stating that granting the approval as consulted is appropriated, the MIC granted the approval as of today.
