October 24, 2025 Result of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Revision of the Guidelines for Consumer Protection Rules for the Telecommunications Business Act and Revised the Guidelines

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on the draft revision of the Guidelines for Consumer Protection Rules for the Telecommunications Business Act, prepared based on discussions at the Study Group on Consumer Protection Rules (Chief Investigator: NIIMI Ikufumi, Professor Emeritus, Meiji University).
　As a result, 8 opinions were submitted. Accordingly MIC discloses the submitted opinions along with MIC’s views on the opinions and the revised Guidelines to the public.

1. Overview

　The draft partially revises the Guidelines for Consumer Protection Rules for the Telecommunications Business Act, based on the discussions at the Study Group on Consumer Protection Rules.

2. Disclosure of the result of solicitation for opinions

　　As a result of the public solicitation of opinions on the draft revision of the Guidelines for Consumer Protection Rules for the Telecommunications Business Act from Saturday, August 30,through Tuesday, September 30, 2025. As a result, 8 opinions were submitted.
