October 7, 2025 Study Group Meeting on the Future Direction of the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services Inc.
Ten years have passed since the establishment of the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services Inc. (JICT). The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a study group meeting to discuss JICT’s future direction.

1. Purpose
JICT was founded in November 2015 as a stock company under the Act on the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services (Act No. 35 of 2015). JICT provides funding and other support to those engaged in telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services overseas by utilizing the knowledge, technology, and experience accumulated by Japanese business operators. This support aims to increase the demand common to domestic and international telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services, and improve the profitability of Japanese business operators who meet that demand. In this way, JICT contributes to the sustainable growth of Japan's economy.
Now that approximately 10 years have passed since the establishment of JICT, the study group meeting will be held for the purpose of discussing the future direction of JICT.

The study group meeting is scheduled to be held from October 2025.
4. Points to be noted
1. The study group meeting will be closed to the public since it will handle non-public information of the operator’s business.
2. The materials used in the study group meeting will be posted on the MIC website for public access, except for operators’ non-public information.
3. A summary of the proceedings of the study group meeting will be prepared and posted on the MIC website for public access, except for operators’ non-public information.
