Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report from the New-Generation Mobile Communications Systems Committee (hereinafter the "Draft Report")

- Technical Requirements for High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) (hereinafter the "Technical Requirements for HAPS"), as Part of the Technical Requirements for Next-generation Mobile Communications Systems (hereinafter the "Next-generation Technical Requirements") –

 The New Generation Mobile Communications Systems Committee, chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council complied the Draft Report regarding the Technical Requirements for HAPS. These requirements form part of the Next-generation Technical Requirements (Consultation no. 2038, dated October 12, 2016). The Committee solicited opinions from Thursday, September 11, 2025, to Friday, October 10, 2025.
 As a result, nine opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's position on them will be made available.

 Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the Draft Report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by TAKADA Junichi, Executive Vice President in charge of Global Affairs at the Institute of Science Tokyo, and a professor at the School of Environment and Society, under the Information and Communications Council.
