November 21, 2025 Telecommunications Numbering System as a Means of Preventing the Use of Telephone Numbers for Criminal Activities (hereinafter the "Telecommunications Numbering System")

- First Report from the Information and Communications Council (hereinafter the "First Report") -

1. Background

　In June 2025, the MIC consulted the Information and Communications Council regarding the Telecommunications Numbering System. In response, investigations and deliberations were conducted at the Telecommunications Business Policy Subcommittee under the Information and Communications Council and at the Telecommunications Numbering Policy Committee. The First Report was prepared, considering the results of these investigations and deliberations, as well as the results of the opinion solicitation.

2. Future plans

　The MIC will implement the necessary measures based on the First Report.
