November 28, 2025 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Notice Partially Amending the Frequency Use Plan for Core Broadcasting (hereinafter the "Frequency Use Plan") and the Draft Notice Partially Amending the Dissemination Plan for Core Broadcasting (hereinafter the "Dissemination Plan"), and Report from the Radio Regulatory Council

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on the draft notice partially amending the Frequency Use Plan (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Public Notice No. 661 of 1988) and the draft public notice partially amending the Dissemination Plan (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Public Notice No. 660 of 1988). The solicitation period ran from Tuesday, October 7, 2025, to Wednesday, November 5, 2025. We received eight opinions . The MIC will make the opinions submitted, as well as the MIC’s position on them, publicly available.
 Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the MIC consulted the Radio Regulatory Council, chaired by SASASE Iwao, professor emeritus at Keio University, regarding the appropriateness of the draft notices. Today, the MIC has received a report stating that they are appropriate.
 The MIC plans to promptly amend the Frequency Use Plan and the Dissemination Plan based on the results of the opinion solicitation and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council.

1. Results of solicitation for opinions

 We solicited opinions for 30 days from Tuesday, October 7, 2025, to Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

2. Report from Radio Regulatory Council

 Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the MIC consulted the Radio Regulatory Council regarding the appropriateness of the draft notice partially amending the Dissemination Plan. Today, on Friday, 28, the MIC received a report stating that it is appropriate.

3. Future schedule

 Based on the results of the opinion solicitation and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council, the MIC plans to promptly amend the Frequency Use Plan and the Dissemination Plan.
