December 17, 2025 Publication of "Verification Report on Telecommunications Accidents in FY2024"

　Pursuant to the provisions of the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) requires telecommunications carriers to report any telecommunications accidents exceeding a certain scale. With the aim of contributing to the prevention of recurrence of telecommunications accidents, the MIC has been convening the Telecommunications Accident Verification Panel since FY2015. During the meetings, third-party experts are asked to verify telecommunications accidents from their professional perspective.
　The MIC summarized telecommunications accidents that occurred in FY2024 in a report. Based on the report, the Telecommunications Accident Verification Panel conducted a verification process and compiled the results, which are now available to the public.
　In addition, we have corrected some errors in the "Verification Report on Telecommunications Accidents in FY2023," published on September 27, 2024.
