IP Network Equipment Committee Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the IP Network Equipment Committee (hereinafter the "Draft Report")

- "Review of Security Standards to Ensure Conformity of Terminal Equipment to Technical Standards and Other Rules" (hereinafter the "Security Standards Review"), which forms part of "Technical Requirements for Telecommunications Facilities Enabling Network Switchover to IP" (hereinafter the "IP Switchover Technical Requirements") -

　The IP Network Equipment Committee, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, specially-appointed professor at the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, compiled the Draft Report regarding the Security Standards Review, which forms part of the IP Switchover Technical Requirements (Consultation No. 2020 dated October 31, 2005). The Committee solicited opinions on the Draft Report from Saturday, October 4, 2025, to Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
　As a result, eight opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's position on them were made available.

2. Future Plans

The Draft Report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by TAKADA Junichi, Executive Vice President in charge of Global Affairs at the Institute of Science Tokyo, and a professor at the School of Environment and Society, under the Information and Communications Council.
